Our final stop is in the land of Oz with songs inspired by the classic,  Wizard of Oz ! 🌈👠 Has anyone noticed a theme between my three favorite fairytales? They all take place in far-off, mystical, magical dreamlands! Alice in Wonderland is another classic fairytale and Disney film I adore! 💜 It fills my heart with wonder and nostalgia. I love the visuals of Wonderland, with massive gardens 🌻, giant mushrooms 🍄, tea parties 🍵, red roses 🌹 and playing cards 🂡 🂽 It's all so whimsical.  To see song selections from the Walt Disney animated film, see this post . My last post was all about classic Peter Pan. The play, the 2003 live action film and of course, my favorite of all, Disney's classic. 💚 Today I am sharing Peter Pan inspired songs that I have been listening to this past week. Songs that have a very "Peter Pan" feel to them or reference any characters or places from the book/films. Today is the first day of fall 🍂 and I'm so ready! By mid-September I really start getting in the "autumn" mood. Stores have their fall and Halloween décor out, the weather starts to get cooler, you can see little hints of changing colors in the leaves. It's magical. ✨ This stage, between the weeks following my birthday and October 1st, I want to start in on the holiday fun! I'm just too excited! I was originally planning on decorating my room for Halloween the day after my birthday but thought I'd give it another week. Well, it's that time! I have a very busy weekend ahead, so I probably won't get to it until Monday but it's coming! 🎃👻 As it's still a bit too early to be in full-on "spooky" mode (for me) I find myself feeling nostalgic. I woke up today as a 30 year old. 😳😨😭😵🙈😱😶 That's SO weird!! 😖  I could spend this post shaming myself for everything I've done wrong in my life up to now. I could spend this post focusing on my failures and the things I hate about myself and my new age. I could spend this post beating myself up for the having wasted so much of my life and not being where I thought I would be at this age. I could spend this post telling myself how old and ugly and pathetic I am for being 30 years old and having no life or life accomplishments and how I'm such a disappointment and a let down to myself and everyone else.  But I'm not going to do that. I'm going to choose to CELEBRATE today as a fresh start. 🥳🎉🌄🌻✨ My 20's are gone. I can start fresh in this new decade. I can do and be anyone I want to be. I can transform myself. Yesterday was a night I will NEVER forget!! I GOT TO SEE HANSON!!   LIVE!!   ON THEIR EPIC R G B WORLD TOUR!! It was everything I hoped it would be and MORE!!   ❤️💚💙 They BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWWWWWN!!  🙌🔥 It was PERFECTION from the second they stepped onto the stage to the final curtain call!!   The venue: perfect; small and intimate.  The setlist: perfect; *chef's kiss.* 😘 Details below. The people I was with: perfect! My best friends! No fear of judgment with them, I was totally free to express myself and fangirl to my hearts content. And you better believe I did! I cheered and danced and JUMPED and sang NON-STOP!  (so much so I've practically lost my voice today!). Near the end of the show, one of my brothers held his phone up above my head where he'd written "It's her birthday!" AND ZAC FREAKING HANSON MOUTHED HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME !!!! * I turned and SCREAMED to my group!! 😂 AND MY SISTER GOT IT ON CAMERA!!! I LOVE YOU ZAC!!...
