PETER PAN PART II 💚✨

My last post was all about classic Peter Pan. The play, the 2003 live action film and of course, my favorite of all, Disney's classic. 💚

Today I am sharing Peter Pan inspired songs that I have been listening to this past week. Songs that have a very "Peter Pan" feel to them or reference any characters or places from the book/films. I'll also share links* to previous posts referring to my love of Peter and Neverland over the years.

Neverland - Zendaya
I discovered this song earlier in the year and fell in love with it! I don't totally understand what it's from...the album says Finding Neverland - The Album (Songs from the Broadway Musical). It says it came out in 2015! I'll have to look more into it and listen to more of the songs, but this one is beautiful and magical and perfectly captures the way the story of Peter Pan makes me feel 💚

Hourglass  - Mindy Gledhill
So many of Mindy's songs are whimsical and references the stories I love! Particularly Peter Pan. ✨ She gets me. This song makes me think of my little brother who graduated high school in May. I can't believe he's gotten so big and so old. I can vividly remember him young and innocent. The metaphor of "life's an hourglass" is heartbreakingly accurate.💔 I also think about the many children I have worked with over the years...they're not children anymore! I hope I made a difference in their lives and they remember me with happiness and love. Because they all touched my life in one way or another. 💗

Peter Pan - Kelsey Ballerini
I first heard this song years ago, probably when it first came out (2015). I had to look it up and listen to it again as I've been creating this "Peter Pan inspired playlist." Although the song is not about the whimsical parts of the story of Peter, it's a clever take.

I love Kelly Clarkson's Kellyoke videos and I love this arrangement.💚 She turned it into a ballad and it works beautifully! Her voice is perfect.

Cardigan - Taylor Swift
I know I'm late to the party but I just barely listened to Taylor Swift's Folklore and Evermore albums all the way through for the first time...ever. They're super different overall from anything I've heard from her and I liked them both. This song isn't my favorite but it makes a reference to Peter and Wendy so it made the list 😏

Never Grow Up - Taylor Swift
While we're on the topic of Taylor Swift songs, this one brings a tear to my eye! 😥 It is very much in the same vein as Mindy's Hourglass. And it makes me think of my brothers, the kids I used to teach and work with, etc. It's such a sweet but sad song. 💔

Anyone For You (Tiger Lily) - George Ezra
This song has literally NOTHING to do with Peter Pan, it never even mentions him! The only "Peter Pan" reference is in the name Tiger Lily which is only said twice the entire song! That was the whole reason I listened to it when I saw the title name haha. But I love the song! It's super fun and catchy! I wonder why he chose the name Tiger Lily...

Strange Sight - KT Tunstall
This may or may not be from one of the Tinkerbelle movies that came out several years ago. And I may or may not have just recently forced my niece and nephew to watch it as an excuse for myself to see it again....bahahaha! It totally is! And I totally did! I watched this movie, Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast with the little girl I used to nanny for years ago and I thought it was so cute and I genuinely liked this song! I thought it was super catchy! And I still think so all these years later! It totally fits on today's list because, I mean TINKERBELLE, hello!? 🧚 She's almost as iconic as Peter! Almost. 😉

I hope these songs have brought you happy thoughts and lifted you into the air! Or at least brought a smile to your face and made you feel young again. I will always love anything and everything Peter Pan 💚✨ He's my hero.

I used to watch youtube videos of this Peter Pan all the time!
This quote is perfect life advice! 👍😂

This one also just came to my mind...watch minute marks 1:59-2:28 & 3:28-3:39 😝
Disclaimer: This is a random video I found on youtube. This is not my video or associated with me personally at all. I just think what Tinkerbelle and Peter Pan said were cute (ya know, about adding the numbers together...so I'm actually only 3 years old! 😉)

*My love for Peter Pan is not new! 💚 Check out all my past Peter Pan posts below! More songs, pictures, quotes, videos, etc. for your viewing and listening pleasure 😁

FYI: Check back September 30th for my first "30 on the 30th" post as there will be a song featuring my favorite boy that I decided to wait to share...and it's fantastic! 😍
