Song: Somebody's Watching Me Artist: Rockwell feat. Michael Jackson HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Another Halloween has come and is almost gone! I can't believe it! At the same time though, this month has actually gone by pretty slowly .... which is awesome! I want time to slow down. I heard this song for the first time back in April. And I only paid attention because the DJ on the radio said something about Michael Jackson singing in it. I was hooked! This song is perfect for  Halloween  and I'm disappointed in my parents for never showing it to us before now, lol. It's funny, creepy and actually kind of relateable .... If you're a paranoid person like I am ;0) I actually tease my brother by saying this song reminds me of him because, even though he loves watching scary, horror films, he gets so scared by them that he has to sleep with his light on and hates the dark at night! It's suuuuper creepy with all of the yelling and screaming, etc. going on! Michael does it again!! The title King of Halloween  is rightfully earned! My brother and I had fun blasting this song as we drove around for last minute costume pick ups! Also, the way the song refers to Hollywood and paparazzi as a "monster" is perfect. Way to go Mike! They thought it was so weird, lol. But man, what a blast to the past!! I can remember my cousin telling my sister and I how this music video had freaked him out when he was younger, lol. He was our older, "cool" cousin so we were like "Whoa! YOU got SCARED !?" Haha. Now, this "cool" cousin is married with two children and is turning 30 this December! So crazy. Anyway, the song itself isn't necessarily Halloween-ish , but the music video for sure is! And I love it! The Genetic Opera I first came across this song a couple of years ago on a Disney fanfiction type youtube video....yeeeeaaah....I used watch those....a lot. I'm was the biggest nerd who loved watching "fan made" videos to some of my favorite movies/TV shows. I haven't done that for a while now (I'm finally growing up!) but ya know, I wasn't alone in my geekdom! There were obviously even more nerdy, obsessed people out there who actually made the videos - who took the time to find corresponding clips and edit and do whatever else you do to create a video like that. Also, I actually found quite a few songs that I ended up loving through watching those videos! Songs that I still listen to to this day. So, I am not ashamed of my past geeking-out/fangirling ways! Song: Defying Gravity Artist: From, Wicked  I have loved the music from the musical Wicked for years! I've still never had the opportunity to see an actual production, but hopefully I will someday. It's definitely on my bucket list! Because Wicked is based on the background and story of the Wicked Witch of the West (a character from one of my all-time favorite childhood movies, The Wizard of Oz ) I find it completely and totally fitting to post some of the songs from Wicked  on my " Halloween Playlist " this year!
