Song: Everybody's Somebody's Fool Artist: Michael Jackson Another great song from the legendary Michael Jackson! I am grateful for this song because, as with most of Michael's songs, it just makes me happy :) I'm grateful I have been able to enjoy "new" music this month. I love discovering new tunes and falling in love all over again. Everybody's somebody's fool The world is the biggest school As you live, you learn though a torch will burn Everybody's somebody's fool You go through life making fools of others Prentending you're giving them love But remember sister or brother You all have to answer to the one up above It's beautiful to watch love begin But oh so sad when it ends As you got through life remember this rule Everybody's somebody's fool It's beautiful to watch love begin But oh so sad when it ends As you got through life remember this rule Everybody's somebody's fool

Song: Morning Glow Artist: Michael Jackson I am grateful for this song because it was one of those songs that made me feel excited and happy while I listened to it (very similar to the way I felt about yesterday's song ). It's such a cute song with a catchy melody and rhythm that I have been a little obsessed with! It's so great! It's just a beautiful song that makes me feel good. It helps me forget about my worries and fears. For about four minutes, I just get to enjoy some beautiful music, and for that I am grateful . Morning glow, morning glow Starts to glimmer when you know Winds of change are set to blow And sweep this whole land through Morning glow is long past due Morning glow fill the earth Come on shine far all you're worth We'll be present at the birth Of all faith looking new Morning glow is long past due Oh oh morning glow I'd like to help you grow You should have started long ago Morning glow all days long For we sing

Song: You Are There Artist: Michael Jackson Listened to this cute song for the first time today. I loved it! I'm grateful for this song because it was just one of those songs that I went "I really like this!" the first time I heard it and that makes me happy :) Because now I have another great song to add to my GIANT collection of Michael Jackson songs ! Michael is the best!! You are there like the laughter of a child When I need just a smile Suddenly the sun shines for a while Everywhere sounds of love are everywhere And my heart sings along Thanks to you I finally got a song, 'Cause you are there, You are there You are there somewhere Each time my world seems like it's falling down Things look up just having you around So every night I say a prayer Just because you're there Like a rainbow after rain Like the night follows day You're the answer to the prayers I say, And you are there, You are there You are there somewhere

Song: O Thou Rock of Our Salvation Artist: Hymns, 258 I am grateful I was able to sing this song at church today and for the strength and peace I felt as I sang. I am grateful for the spirit that testified to me of the reality of a loving Savior who is my rock and sure foundation through the storms of life. I am grateful for the peace that comes only through and because of the Savior. Today has been very emotionally draining and difficult for me so I'm grateful I could have a respite from my anguish through singing this beautiful hymn. O thou Rock of our salvation, Jesus, Savior of the world, In our poor and lowly station We thy banner have unfurled. Gather round the standard bearer; Gather round in strength of youth. Ev’ry day the prospect’s fairer While we’re battling for the truth. We a war ’gainst sin are waging; We’re contending for the right. Ev’ry day the battle’s raging; Help us, Lord, to win the fight. Gather round the standard b

Song: One Day in Your Life Artist: Michael Jackson I just find this song to be so beautiful. The beginning makes me think of the Carpenters for some reason ..... I have been loving listening to these old Michael Jackson songs lately. They are so sweet and peaceful and relax my mind. I am grateful for this song because it makes me feel good inside. It's just so nice and relaxing and beautiful to listen to. Listening to this older music has been a much welcome and needed break from the mainstream crap. It takes me back to simpler times when life was more carefree. One day in your life You'll remember a place Someone touching your face You'll come back and you'll look around, you'll . . . One day in your life You'll remember the love you found here You'll remember me somehow Though you don't need me now I will stay in your heart And when things fall apart You'll remember one day . . . One day in your life When you find that you

It was amazing! Incredible! Inspiring! Beautiful! Check out my notes and first impressions/reactions to each song, while listening live, here .  String Theory is a compilation of Hanson songs (from their 21 years worth of music!) that tell an incredible story of aspiration. The story is told from the eyes of a little boy. It be

Song: Cinderella Stay Awhile Artist: Michael Jackson What an adorable song!! I absolutely love it! Michael's voice is beginning to mature and he sings it with such boyish charm it makes me giddy :) I am grateful for this song because it makes me feel excited and hopeful about being someone's "Cinderella." Cinderella, stay awhile You're the one That I've been lookin' for Cinderella, when you smile All around me sunbeams Start to fall Midnight is so near Please don't disappear Now that you are here Stay awhile Cinderella, I just know That the magic slipper's Gonna to fit Cinderella, do not go You're my princess I am sure of it This is love for sure Love that's sweet and pure Love that will endure Stay awhile When you speak the angels all sing This is the kind of magic you bring, oh Cinderella, stay awhile This is like a fairytale with you Cinderella, when you smile All my fairytales are coming true W

Song: Granted Artist: Josh Groban So, ever since I began this challenge clear back in 2015, I have posted a Josh Groban song on November 7th :) Must be a "Josh" day. I decided to keep the tradition alive and am giving you a brand new Josh Groban song (at least for me - I heard it for the very first time today!). I instantly fell in love with the message of the song. The melody is beautiful and Josh's vocals are still as wonderful as ever! And the lyrics!? I highlighted pretty much all of them, they are so incredible and powerful! I am grateful for the feelings of inspiration this song leaves me with. I am grateful for beautiful music that can bring me such great relief and peace from the stress of every day life. I am grateful for Josh Groban's talent and that he is still choosing to create music like this. Music that inspires and uplifts. Have you ever felt it could all go away if you blink If you never stop running you won't fall behind, so you thin

Song: This Artist: Darius Rucker Taking a little detour from my "young MJ" songs list to highlight This great country song! I'm not a huge fan of country music, but it's growing on me and there is a good handful of country songs and artists I like. This song in particular has been a favorite of mine for the past couple of months now. I love the story that is being told in the song: finding "your person" isn't an easy journey. You go through a lot of ups and downs on the road to love. But in the end, you look back, realizing that is was all worth it because it led you to where you are and who you're with. And maybe you don't even have to look at it in a "romantic" sense. Just having the understanding that life is full of pot holes and that things don't always work out. But ultimately, it's after we overcome those trials we can look back in a spirit of gratitude for how far we've come and where we are now. Going back to

Song: In Our Small Way Artist: Michael Jackson Another sweet, heartfelt song from a sweet, little Michael. The words in this song are just .... so touching! I can't get over the incredible message of this tender song. A reminder to what we all really need in the world today: more love and kindness. And it truly are those small acts of kindness that can make the biggest difference. I am grateful for music like this that reminds me of what is really important and how I should be living my life. I just love the words of this song and Michael's passionate plea of changing a world of hate to a world of loving kindness in our own "small ways." [Spoken] Maybe you and I can't do great things We may not change the world in one day But we still can change some things today... [Sung] In our small way Empty words are not enough Where there's hurt we'll be a crutch When there's thirst we'll fill each other's cup Because we care we lov

Song: Homeward Bound Artist: Peter Hollens Today I am grateful for beautiful music and for the peace it brings. This song is gorgeous and I love this cover by Peter Hollens. I love the power I feel and the message of this song. In the quiet misty morning When the moon has gone to bed, When the sparrows stop their singing And the sky is clear and red. When the summer's ceased its gleaming, When the corn is past its prime, When adventure's lost its meaning, I'll be homeward bound in time. Bind me not to the pasture; chain me not to the plow. Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow. If you find it's me you're missing, if you're hoping I'll return. To your thoughts I'll soon be listening, in the road I'll stop and turn. Then the wind will set me racing as my journey nears its end. And the path I'll be retracing as I'm homeward bound again. Bind me not to the pasture; chain me not to the

Song: People Make the World Go Round Artist: Michael Jackson Wow. What a powerful song with such strong, emotional and mature lyrics. This song really makes you think. What am I  offering the world? How am  I  contributing, making it a better, safer place to be? How am I fighting, standing up for and speaking out about the things that I believe in? Something to think about. I am grateful to live in a free country where I have a voice and that it can be heard. Where I can choose for myself. Where I can worship freely. I am grateful for people who are brave and put themselves out there to be heard and seen in spite of danger and challenges. They are inspiring. I am grateful for people who sacrifice for the good of others and our great nation. People... ('Round and 'round and around...) People make the world go 'round ('Round and 'round and around...) Teachers on strike, no more school today They want more money but the board won't pay People Ev

Song: The Greatest Show On Earth Artist: Michael Jackson In September, I started listening to a lot of Michael Jackson's older music .... like really old music, from when he was little. I fell in love with the songs. Michael's voice was just so sweet and innocent but also fiercely strong, passionate and incredible! Be prepared to get a lot of "little" Mike over the next several days as I highlight some of my recent finds ;) The Greatest Show On Earth is from one of Michael's very first solo, studio albums Ben in 1972! Isn't this song fun!? It makes me happy! I love the melody and of course Michael's phenomenal vocal performance! Only a child can sing with so much enthusiasm and joy! He is such a treat to listen to! I also love that Michael was already preaching about the importance of "love" through his music at such a tender age. I hope this song fills your heart with happiness the way it does mine! I am so grateful that I can listen to th

Hanson String Theory Listening Party!

Currently listening to Hanson's premiere of String Theory on Hanson.net ! Man I love being a Fanson! They make me so happy! :) I just hit play on String Theory Part 1 Side A.  Reaching For the Sky: is BEAUTIFUL! Fills me with hope and inspiration! Gorgeous melody, inspiring lyrics, beautiful instrumentals. It's perfect! Joyful Noise: So fun with the orchestra! I like it better than the original . Where's the Love: The beginning gives me chills!! I love the accapella intro and then the strings come in....stunning! And then there is the beautiful orchestra piece near the end that goes straight into the beautiful song If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It. So inspiring! "These are the songs for the world to sing and the stories to show you what you've never seen. This is the line drawn in the sand, that turns a boy into a man." MMMBop: Wow! MMMBop with the orchestra is actually awesome!! I was wondering what this one would sound like. It still has the peppy, f
