In September, I started listening to a lot of Michael Jackson's older music .... like really old music, from when he was little. I fell in love with the songs. Michael's voice was just so sweet and innocent but also fiercely strong, passionate and incredible! Be prepared to get a lot of "little" Mike over the next several days as I highlight some of my recent finds ;)

The Greatest Show On Earth is from one of Michael's very first solo, studio albums Ben in 1972! Isn't this song fun!? It makes me happy! I love the melody and of course Michael's phenomenal vocal performance! Only a child can sing with so much enthusiasm and joy! He is such a treat to listen to! I also love that Michael was already preaching about the importance of "love" through his music at such a tender age. I hope this song fills your heart with happiness the way it does mine! I am so grateful that I can listen to these precious songs so many years later, thanks to the power of technology and the immortal gift of music. To live every day as "a holiday" is something I strive for in life! For "Love, love, love is the greatest show on earth!"

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
