Today has been better. I've been spending some good, quality time with my sweet (if wild and crazy and exhausting 😜) niece and nephew this week! I always love having them around and miss them when they have to leave. They might be a lot sometimes but they make me happy and are growing up so quickly! It makes me sad. 😢 In a few years they aren't going to be this little, sweet and innocent anymore. They aren't going to want to play make believe games or read stories with me and go to the park. As I begin my new week (aka LIFE! ) of living more confidently, courageously and faithfully, I needed a "power anthem" song to pump me up and encourage me to stick to it! This one has been going through my head all day so I figure that's a sign! I love the lyrics and message about how our actions and the risks we take (or don't take) determine our future. If anyone remembers, I did a couple of posts around this time a year ago, highlighting some of my favorite childhood fairytales and characters. I shared music that related to each story. I've been enjoying going back through each of those posts and listening to the music. A few weeks ago, I finally looked into Finding Neverland (the musical) . I listened to the entire thing while cleaning my room. It was incredible! It gave me all the happy feelings and I found myself flying away to Neverland!! I highly, highly recommend it! Anyone remember the " Michael and Me " series I did back in September/October of last year? I did a whole post on mine and Michael's shared love for Peter. Song: She's Out of My Life and You're Mother and Mine Artist: Michael Jackson, Off the Wall & Wendy Darling, Peter Pan   Today is my sweet mother's birthday and today I am gratefeul for these two songs because I just couldn't decide between the two! She's Out of My Life is one of the only MJ songs my mom really, really likes (she loved it back in her teen years). She is not a very big fan of Michael, but every time I listen to, think or sing this song I think of my mom because she told me how much she always really loved this song :) And that makes me happy! This second song is the sweetest song about mothers EVER!! Plus, it's from my favorite Disney movie, Peter Pan . And what could be more perfect than all of that for MY mother on her special day? *** PART 1 . PART 2 . PART 3 ***   Michael Jackson LOVED Peter Pan!   Oh, Peter Pan. How I love that little boy who never grew up! Peter Pan is my favorite Disney movie ( if by a small margin ). He is for sure my favorite Disney character. I recently received (and just finished reading) a beautiful, leather bound book of the classic story. I enjoyed it, but I still prefer Disney's :) The play is also quite good, with wonderful music! I Gotta Crow (very fitting for the books Peter),  Never, Neverland , and  I Won't Grow Up , just to name a few.  Finding Neverland  is a beautiful movie about the author James M. Barrie and the family of boys who inspired the play/character.
