Finding Neverland

If anyone remembers, I did a couple of posts around this time a year ago, highlighting some of my favorite childhood fairytales and characters. I shared music that related to each story. I've been enjoying going back through each of those posts and listening to the music. A few weeks ago, I finally looked into Finding Neverland (the musical). I listened to the entire thing while cleaning my room. It was incredible! It gave me all the happy feelings and I found myself flying away to Neverland!! I highly, highly recommend it! I watched the film Finding Neverland last weekend and choked back tears the entire time 😢 I'm in my Peter Pan era at the moment, lol, so I thought I would share some of these magical, sweet songs with anyone who might need the reminder that "all you need is faith and trust...and a little bit of pixie dust" when life is getting too hard to handle 💚🧚✨ I won't share all of them...I think I need to reserve some for my Grateful For Music Challenge...and even one for my Halloween playlist...and possibly one for my Month Of Love Songs Challenge?? So stay tuned. This song is enchanting and fills my heart with hope! It's so beautiful and makes me want to chase my dreams, leaving fear and doubt behind forever; not worrying about anything: what others will think, if it's "right" or "wrong" at my age, etc.

If you read any of my Peter Pan posts from last year, one of the songs I featured was called Neverland by Zendaya. That's when I first discovered that there was a musical called Finding Neverland, but I never took the time to look it up. Well, after listening to and loving the musical I went back and discovered that some of my favorite artists covered songs from this musical and Goo Goo Dolls is one of them! Their version of this song is a little different from the original but it's still FANTASTIC because it's the GOO GOO DOLLS singing a PETER PAN inspired song! 😍 My heart is happy. 💓

If you've seen the film Finding Neverland then you'll know why this song is so heartbreaking 💔 But it's beautiful and I can't help but love it.

There are days when I feel so afraid

I shared more than I intended to but I've been loving it all so much I couldn't help myself! I can't believe I've slept on this musical for song long! And the fact that I'd never even heard of it is just sad! It's incredibly underrated and I hope I get the opportunity to see it live someday! I hope these songs bring you some joy and enchantment, something we all need a little more of in our lives. ✨
