This song has resonated with me so strongly this year! I'm just blown away by the power behind the lyrics, especially knowing how young Hanson was when it was written. I also knew I wanted to feature Hanson today since their member's Christmas concert livestream was yesterday but I just finished watching it today!! I was planning on watching it live but decided to watch Christmas movies with my parents because there are only 10 days until Christmas and I haven't watched ANYTHING! 😰 The count down is ON! One Christmas movie every day from now until December 25!

The concert was OH SO WONDERFUL! 💓🎄💚 I loved every second! It was festive and inspiring and Hanson is just Hanson and they DON'T MISS! EVER! 😍 I just ADORE them! It has been the BEST year of HANSON for me!! 💓💚💙😭 From the fantastic month of May I had re-listening to EVERYTHING Hanson, the new EP being straight 🔥 top to bottom and my 2024 summer JAM, the FANTASTIC Hanson Day celebration where I was literally brought to tears of gratitude for a band that has meant the world to me for 10 years and decided I had to go see them on tour (and then made it happen!), to the gorgeous "re-imagined" Penny & Me that made me hear and understand the song in a whole new way and is a literal theme song to my life FOREVER and of course, to flying out to see them LIVE on their epic celebratory tour for the life-changing (for them and me) album Underneath 💓😍😭 it's been memorable in every way! And it's so fitting since I've been celebrating my 10 year anniversary of being a Hanson fan! Best decisions ever! FANSON 4 LIFE!! 👊

Sorry for the gushing and fangirling...back to today's song choice. I didn't think they would play this song during the show but then they did and did so BEAUTIFULLY! Flawless performance from all THREE! I need to go screen record it so I can have it forever! It brought tears to the corners of my eyes 🥺 "Max...I'm leaking!" 😉😂

Then to make things even more beautiful and serendipitous, ending my perfect Hanson year on the sweetest note....I HEARD THIS SONG IN THE STORE TODAY AS I WAS CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!! 💓😭🤯✨ How amazing is that!? I have NEVER heard Hanson "in public" before! I was SO happy!! It was a sweet little Christmas gift to me. Like I said at the beginning of this post, this song has resonated with me more than ever this year so it's extra special. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!! 🎄🎁

I'm in love with this live version (back in 2017) . Mark Hudson features in the video since he helped produce both of Hanson's Christmas albums and co-wrote this song with the boys (even if I feel he sorta ruins the song when he sings and it's so disappointing that he starts it off and not Taylor! 😩). The long-lasting relationships they have with so many people in the business just goes to show how upstanding these guys are! 🥰

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling.
