In honor of the "Green" man himself, ISACC HANSON on his birthday I have to switch things up and share something of his today! Michael and the Jackson's will return tomorrow!!

Isaac is awesome! He keeps getting better with age, and I really mean that! His voice sounds better and better with each new album but most impressively LIVE! I got to see Hanson in concert a few months back and Isaac really impressed, not only me, but the people I was at the show with (who aren't necessarily fans). Each person in my group mentioned that they felt he had the best stage presence and totally nailed his solo. I don't know how these guys do it, but man! The Hanson's have great genes! They just keep getting better even when they were ridiculously good before! Stop showing off Hanson!! 😂

Today's song is from Hanson's EPIC Red Green Blue album released in May of this year! Each of the brothers represent a color with 5 songs they wrote, produced and performed. Isaac's section is GREEN which is easily the most emotional and heart-felt bunch of songs. He's such a softie and knows what's most important in life. It's not being "famous", winning Grammy's or selling out stadiums. It's family, love, God and doing your best to make the world a kinder, safer place. I love you Isaac! 💚 This man has a heart of GOLD with a million watt smile to match! He seriously seems like the nicest person ever.

OK, on to the MUSIC. 

Greener Pastures

This one is interesting because Isaac actually didn't write it...his brother did. But not the brothers we know so well, the other Hanson brother, Mac. The youngest Hanson brother is also a musician and Greener Pastures is his original song (check out this super fun Halloween-inspired song I shared last month also by Mac!). Isaac obviously really liked the song and wanted to cover it. HOW FREAKING CUTE IS THAT!? I'm sure Mac was honored, his brothers are literal LEGENDS! What is it with the oldest brother of bands being the sweetest!? I've always had a soft-spot for Jackie Jackson of the Jackson 5 because he was so soft-spoken, rarely got leads but loved performing with and supporting his brothers. 💗 Isaac is the same way. He has the least leads between the three but he's always so happy and proud and supportive of his brothers. He even helped produce baby brother Mac's album and then wanted to cover one of the songs because he liked it! I mean, come on! 😭💚 And his single from the album was a song he wrote for his daughter!? The cutest.

Sorry, I just had to brag about Isaac a little because sometimes he can fly under the radar and he deserves more of the spotlight! He sounds AMAZING on this track, almost country....a little Chris Stapleton vibes because of the grit and soul but not quite as intense, lol. I prefer Isaac's cover to Mac's original, because I'm biased 😆 but this opening track has always stood out to me! It's so different from anything I'd heard from him before and he absolutely kills it! Mac is also providing back-up vocals (with Zac & Tay of course) so the song comes full circle! 💞

Mac joined Hanson on one of their tour stops! This was not long before my show! I wouldn't change a single thing from my concert, but I won't lie, this would have been really cool to see live! THAT WAS REALLY GOOD!! WOW! 🤯 You see what I mean about getting better LIVE every year don't you!? Because THIS ☝ is what I mean!!

I can't end this post without a party song for the birthday boy 🥳 (which just so happens to be his own song, lol)! This one COLD!! 😉 It's SO MUCH FUN!! I got to hear it live and let me tell you, it's a party and a half! 🎉 It's WAY better live too! It's so groovy and upbeat I was shocked to learn (from Hanson themselves) that this song was originally written as a ballad! 🤯 WHAT!? So glad that changed, hahaha! Dust off your dancin' shoes and get ready to party hardy with this funky beat!
