Hi friends! I have been notoriously lacking the past several years in posts during the month of March! I'm going to be making a better effort this year! Not only will you get weekly Masked Singer updates/posts but I'm going to try going back to my original blogging "roots" where I post songs that are meaningful to me on a more regular basis... not just when there is a holiday challenge going on 😉

I've been listening to this song quite a lot the past couple of days. I love it. It's so beautiful and the lyrics are everything! I discovered this song while watching my current favorite show of all time This Is Us. The song was featured in an episode clear back in season 2. Obsessed. This show makes me laugh, cry and feel all the feelings!! 🖤😂😭💔 It was also because of this show that I discovered another song I am absolutely OBSESSED with and was my very first 28 on the 28th song, The Wind. It's so freaking gorgeous!! I've been really loving these singer-songwriter type songs lately.

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us. When we stop and allow ourselves to "give in" to the pain and sadness that comes with the stress of life, that's when we begin to slip and fall into a deep depression.
