Song: Yeah, I Like You Artist: Goo Goo Dolls So, I just found out the Goo Goo Dolls have a brand spankin' *NEW*  album coming out called Chaos in Bloom!! (I love that title!!). And they just dropped their new single (technically, it said out Friday, but time zones can be beautiful things. Granted, it's only a few minutes before it's officially midnight here but whatever). So of course, I had to have a live listening party/reaction! I love that I've had so much new music these past two months - from three of my all-time faves! Upon my first listen, it's super fun! Sounds and feels like a pretty generic Goo Goo Dolls song and I LOVE that! Staying true to who they are! 👊 I love hearing Johnny sing in a little upper register on the lines "so tell me, what do you doooo" and "baby, sad but truuuue?" I've never heard him do that before!  And the lyrics, tho not as deep and powerful as the Googs can get, there's still some underlying mess...

Today's the day!!  Jack Johnson's highly anticipated new album Meet the Moonlight has dropped and I'm having a LIVE first reaction listening party!! LET'S GOOO! Open Mind - This song is so "Jack Johnson" and I love it! 🤍 Nice and mellow and laid back with a hard hitting message that I can't help but think it feels relevant about another thing that went down today ...A couple lines that stuck out to me: "Some nights I can fall for hope, but some I can't sleep." Some days I feel hopeful and ready to take on the world and some days...I'm so depressed I can't get out of bed until noon. Last night I went to bed feeling so sad. Song: At or with Me Artist: Jack Johnson, To The Sea Moving right along to our next album! This is one of my favorites! It's right behind Curious George and  In Between Dreams as one of my "first discovering Jack Johnson albums!" The memories associated with it make me smile :) This song reminds me of a time years ago that my brother and I were washing dishes and jamming out to this song 😂 He's the brother I'm going to go see Jack with later this summer and I couldn't be more excited!
