December Theme Songs - Thirty Two

There isn't much to say besides the fact that so far, these three songs have been my go-to's this month. They are songs I've previously shared before but they seem to mean more and hit harder this year. 😞  

Christmas Time

The lyrics hit harder than ever. Wow. "Everything is different, but nothing has changed." 👈 THIS. I feel that! EVERYTHING is different and yet the traditions, decorations, music, food...is all the same. It's different and the same all at once. "Do you really remember how it used to be, sitting under the Christmas tree?" Reflecting on the past and the joy and wonder and excitement I used to feel at this time of year. Especially as a child, when we were all together. No one was married or lived out of state or had passed on and couldn't be here. 💔

Every Year

I miss you puppy dog!!! 🖤🤍💔🐾 Always, always, always. 😭 And grandpa and grandma. "It's just not the same..."

Somewhere In My Memory

My new theme song when it comes to the holidays. They will never be or feel the same again. And maybe someday, that won't be such a bad thing. But as of now, it hurts. And I miss the way things used to be. All I have now are the memories. And as much as I cherish them and enjoy looking back on old pictures and home videos, they make me sad. 💔

It's going to be a hard Christmas this year....again 😔 I guess I should also include Where Are You Christmas? to this list because, I need to feel "the joy and laughter...you used to bring me."
