Grateful For Music Challenge Day 11
Song: Solitaire
Artist: Josh Groban
This song is just so fitting for me. I actually really do play a Solitaire game on my phone. I'll play it while I listen to music or to my audiobook, podcasts, etc. I also enjoy playing solitaire with real playing cards. It's a lonely game. So, it was invented with me in mind. Just change the "mans" to wo-mans" and this is basically me in song form. Yeah, I'm still not OK.
There was a (wo)man
A lonely (wo)man
Who lost his love
Through his indifference
A heart that cared
That went unshared
Until it died
Within his silence
And solitaire is the only game in town
And every road that takes him takes him down
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing solitaire
And keeping to himself, begins the deal
And, still, the king of hearts is well concealed
Another losing game comes to an end
And he deals them out again
A little hope
Goes up in smoke
Just how it goes
Goes without saying
There was a (wo)man
A lonely (wo)man
Who would command
The hand he's playing
And solitaire's the only game in town
And every road that takes him takes him down
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing solitaire
And keeping to himself, begins to deal
And, still, the king of hearts is well concealed
Another losing game comes to an end
And he deals them out again
And solitaire's the only game in town
And every road that takes him takes him down
While life goes on around him everywhere
He's playing solitaire
He's playing solitaire
