Frankenstein
Song(s): Frankenstein
Artist(s): He Is We & Claire Rosinkranz
Yesterdays post was on the heavier side, so it's time to lighten things up!
These two songs are girlish, sad, heartache songs that relate their relationship struggles and woes to the idea of a "Frankenstein."
First up, in He Is We's interpretation, she sings about a boy she fell for but he breaks her heart because he's looking for the "perfect" girl. Since there is no such thing as perfect, he is breaking several hearts along his way, taking note of the things he deems "perfect" from each relationship, until he finds his "Frankenstein." This girl has a great nose, this girl has long, thick hair, this girls fun, this girls got big lips..."now I just need to find a single woman who possesses all of these traits and qualities and I know she's the one for me!" Good luck finding the "perfect woman" buddy!
I told you all my secrets hoping you'd be gold
Gave you my heart and told you to keep it
Then you sent me home
Here I am
Parts of me I'm revealed entirely
I am naked incomplete
Oh baby
Look at what you've made me
Why'd you have to break me
Taking all your favorite pieces
Saving what it is you're taking
From us pretty ladies
We all lay in line as you build your Frankenstein
Oh oh
You build your Frankenstein
Oh oh
You build your Frankenstein
Are you proud of your creation
The damage that's been done
If she's anything like I am
She'll see your face and run
You rounded up
Your beauties
Robbed us blind
But now we see
That you're just a desperate thief
Oh baby
Look at what you've made me
Why'd you have to break me
Taking all your favorite pieces
Saving what it is you're taking
From us pretty ladies
We all lay in line as you build your Frankenstein
You've gone mad
Taking the greatest away from the best you've had
It's so sad
Hoping and waiting
But she'll never love you back
Oh baby
Look at what you've made me
Why'd you have to break me
Taking all your favorite pieces
Saving what it is you're taking
From us pretty ladies
We all lay in line as you build your Frankenstein
As you build your Frankenstein
This second song has a slightly different take. Our lead singer is sick of boys who won't commit and don't treat her right, so she dreams of creating her "perfect" man. It's basically the female-perspective of the last songs antagonist, but she's making it positive, hahaha. Or she's just like "All boys suck! I guess I have to create one if I want a good one" lol. Wishful thinking. That's all I have to say. I won't lie, I've created a few perfect "Frankenstein" type men for myself before...
I'm so sick of all these pretty boys tryna act like the shhhh
And I just wish they wouldn't fall in love then leave me so quick
I been searching, don't think it's out there
Talks for hours, walks in with flowers
Dirty converse 6'2 and brown hair
Every little thing that I want
Guess I gotta build my Frankenstein
Draw the picture, color all the lines
When it's right I'll take a test drive
Every little thing that I want
When I'm mad he'll kiss me till I'm numb
And then not treat me so bad
He makes me laugh
He's never on my nerves, gets along with my dad (My dad)
I been searching, don't think it's out there
Oh so loyal makes me feel spoiled
He's my daydream never a nightmare
Every little thing that I want
Guess I gotta build my Frankenstein
Draw the picture, color all the lines
When it's right, I'll take a test drive
Every little thing that I want
Guess I gotta build my Frankenstein
Draw the picture, color all the lines
When it's right, I'll take a test drive
Every little thing that I want
Every little thing that I want
Every little thing that I want
Clap, clap
Guess I gotta build my Frankenstein
Draw the picture, color all the lines
When it's right, I'll take a test drive
Every little thing that I want
Guess I gotta build my Frankenstein
Draw the picture, color all the lines
When it's right, I'll take a test drive
Every little thing that I want
HAPPY "TERRIFYING" TUESDAY! 😱
