A quick interruption from Evergreen to give you this "ball" of a song! 😝 A year ago today I watched my first of three Hanson Christmas streaming concerts! It was fun although I remember not being as impressed as I thought I would be. There were highlights of course, but the majority of the time it felt like they were not meshing well together, Taylor was definitely not feeling it (I think he must have been sick) and the whole thing felt a little messy. Also, there was glitching. 👎 BUT this song was a highlight every time! It's not on either of their publicly released Christmas albums - which is a real shame because it's such a fun song and I think it would have fit in quite nicely on Finally, It's Christmas - but it's available to members through Hanson.net and featured on an album entitled Super Digital Pants. Courtesy of my Hanson.net membership, I am able to listen to this song whenever I want thanks to their amazing media player! Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
