Grateful For Music Challenge Day 27

Song: Sunny Days
Artist: Jars of Clay

Today was fun for the most part! We took "professional" family pictures for the first time in years (I'll cry when my picture with my dog comes down - from the last time we took pictures like this. I wore my ring with his name on it so he'd still sort of be with me in the pictures. It's not the same but it's something 💔). I'm gonna try not to hate them (my body/weight isn't anywhere near where I would like it to be and my face is constantly breaking out but I had to suck it up and grin and bear it for my mother). We had a "pizza party" afterwards, went to an Escape Room (we won!) and got Froyo (10 minutes before they closed!). I love spending time with my family during the holidays (even if some of them - extended family that is - stress me out and make me feel on edge). It's always such a fun and magical time of year! Even when it's harder for me to get in the spirit and feel joy, my family makes it a little easier. I'm grateful for them.

No, this is not the Sesame Street theme song (although that's an excellent, happy, sunny song too!) 😉 My sister introduced me to this song about a year ago, so I'll always think of her whenever I hear it. She is definitely a source of "sunshine" in my life. We have spent many "sunny days" together (and will continue to have more throughout the years). It's a happy, positive, feel good song and that's how (most) of the day went. There will always be stressful moments and bad days but today was sunny...at least in my soul...for the majority of the day.

Sunny days keepin' the clouds away
I think we're coming to a clearing and a brighter day

So far away. Still I think they say
The wait will make the heart grow stronger or fonder
I can't quite remember anyway

So if you're waitin' for love
Well it's a promise I'll keep
If you don't mind believing that it changes everything
Then time will never matter

Winter, Spring... is what love can truly bring
Ice turns to water, water flows to everything
You can lose your mind, maybe then your heart you'll find
I hope you won't give up what's moving you inside

So if you're waitin' for love
Well it's a promise I'll keep
If you don't mind believing that it changes everything
Then time will never matter

So if you're waitin' for love
Well it's a promise I'll keep
If you don't mind believing that it changes everything
Then time will never matter

If the car won't start, when you turn the key
When the music comes on, all your cold, cold heart
Can do is skip a beat

It's a promise I'll keep
When you're waitin' for love
If you don't mind believing that it changes everything
Then time will never matter

So if you're waitin' for love
Well it's a promise I'll keep
If you don't mind believing that it changes everything
Then time will never matter
No time will never matter
No time will never matter

Because the title of this song reminds me of the Sesame Street theme song every time I see it, I have to share a few of my favorite versions below 😂 It's just so dang innocent and wholesome! It will do your heart some good to go back to simpler times and relive your childhood for a minute.

The original, classic version

1998-2001

2010's
This is my favorite because this was the version that played every time I watched it with the little girl I used to nanny for 😌 She LOVED Sesame Street and it's actually thanks to her that I love it so much! I loved watching it with her and thought all the characters were so sweet and funny! Especially Elmo! He's my favorite! 💓 Precious memories. I miss those good ol' days! Take me back!!

Current version - Season 46! 😲
(Not gonna lie, I love it!)
