Whoa. This is GORGEOUS! I have chills! I just found this beautiful cover of an already beautiful song. The song was originally performed by a young Mandy Moore in one of the greatest chick-flicks ever A Walk to Remember (I love the movie but the book is better). There is also a version by the band Switchfoot (who just happened to be featured in my post yesterday! Happy coincidences!). I have loved this song for years (both the Mandy Moore and Switchfoot versions. And now I have another one to add to the collection:) I just realized this cover was actually posted 2 years ago! So I'm a little late in discovering it but I'm glad I did. I am grateful for beautiful music performed by beautiful people. The children are so talented and absolutely adorable (don't worry, this isn't Kidz Bop;) Steven Sharp Nelson is just an awesome human and incredible cellist and everything from the arrangement to the location is, I know I'm over using the word but, beautiful!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us. When we stop and allow ourselves to "give in" to the pain and sadness that comes with the stress of life, that's when we begin to slip and fall into a deep depression.
