This song is actually really sweet and romantic. It's all about that first-time feeling of falling in love .... that I can only assume must be very wonderful and exciting and breathtaking. Someday, maybe I'll know what that really feels like .... right now I can only imagine. And I have to say, if it's anything like how I imagine it is, it must be a pretty magical feeling! Song: If You Asked Me To Artist: Celine Dion I think this song is romantic because it's all about opening yourself up to love if (and when) the right person comes around. Maybe you've been hurt one too many times .... maybe you've given up on ever finding love , but when "the one" comes into your life .... and they want to give you their heart .... you'll want to give them yours in return. You'll trust them and know that they will love you and only you forever and you'll do the same for them. At least, that's what I believe. I haven't given up on finding love (at least that's what I keep telling myself). Yes, there are days I truly believe in my heart of hearts that it won't happen for me. That I'm destined to be an old maid forever. But then there are times when I feel hopeful. When I believe that there might be someone out there for me. It's that time of year again .... the MONTH OF LOVE!! I'm going to continue my new Valentine's tradition here at Music is My Therapy and do another month full of love songs! Of course with my goal of posting a new song every single day, it doesn't seem too out of the ordinary but the focus will be on love and romance (and maybe even some heartbreak thrown in there). When I was scared and when I felt alone and abandoned in that fear, the Lord delivered me. I am so grateful. I am grateful for the opportunities I have, even though they can be really hard and scary for me, I am grateful that I get to experience tender mercies and learn and grow. I am grateful. This song doesn't exactly match my current situation, because I wasn't around people who I needed to survive, just the situation itself . But it came to mind so I've decided to roll with it.
