Both of these songs spoke to me this month and demanded to be "my anthems" for November and I couldn't refuse! 😉 And of course, fittingly, they had to be HANSON!

My Own Sweet Time is a new release featured on the Underneath: Complete album. I've known about the song for years thanks to youtube leaks 😅 It has always strongly resonated with me so I was thrilled to see it would be included on this special, anniversary re-release! I'm trying to learn to accept myself for where I am and to stop comparing myself and my life's journey to everyone else, even if I need to take "my own sweet time." That's not me saying I want to keep procrastinating and living in fear, but telling myself that it's OK to take small steps and take my time. "I may make it slower, but I'm taking my own sweet time." The beginning line of this song has always been heartbreakingly beautiful to me! 💓😭 And it's recently resonated with me about saying "good-bye" to an old me so I can "start all over again."

I listened to World Goes Around earlier today and, although I've always enjoyed and appreciated the message of this song, it hit different. I tend to feel sorry for myself often and get caught up in all the "bad" things that are happening and going wrong in my life, even though I've had a lot of lovely and beautiful things going on too. It's that bumpy roller-coaster of life that happens to everyone and that's exactly what this song talks about! Not to get too comfortable when things are going well and not wallow in your misery when things aren't going so well. Because we're never there long. Challenges and bad days will always come back around, and the hard things will end. They don't last forever. "Because the world goes round!" 🌎💙
