Grateful For Music Challenge Day 2

Father-daughter duo Mat & Savanna, who have been regulars here since 2020, just released a brand-new cover yesterday. I have yet to listen to it and decided to share it as today's song for a couple of reasons. First, the song itself. My sweet mother referenced the lyrics to this song when she spoke at her father's, my grandpa's, funeral. I remember clearly how beautiful the lyrics were and how perfectly they described my grandpa. 🤍 My grandpa's birthday is also in the month of November so he's often on my mind this time of year. Secondly, because today is Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, where we celebrate and remember fondly our departed loved ones. So since I have this memory connected with grandpa's funeral and it's kind of "his" month and this day we celebrate the ones we have lost, I thought this song was a beautiful choice. 

This song is dedicated in loving memory of: my sweet and tender grandpa and his loving, strong wife, my grandma, my sweet and beautiful fraternal grandma who passed two years ago, same year as my grandpa. And of course, forever and always, my sweetest angel and forever best friend whom I miss every single day, my puppy dog! 🖤🤍💔🐾 I'm grateful to have so many angels looking out for me but I wish every day they were still physically here, celebrating life together!
