Far, Far Away on Judea's Plains & Once in Royal David's City

Artists: Tabernacle Choir & Orchestra at Temple Square
Feeling a little...weird about some news I received today. It's nothing serious or scary. Well, it's kinda serious but not in a "bad way." Not really. I mean, selfishly it is. More sad than bad. Anyway, I've just been thrown a loop but I'm trying not to let it bother me right now and enjoy celebrating one more "normal" Christmas...even tho even that's not feeling super normal right now.
Choosing songs to help me focus on the Savior because I'm starting to get overwhelmed and upset. No matter what happens, this part of Christmas will never change.
Far, far away on Judea’s plains,
Shepherds of old heard the joyous strains:
Glory to God,
Glory to God,
Glory to God in the highest;
Peace on earth, goodwill to men;
Peace on earth, goodwill to men!
Sweet are these strains of redeeming love,
Message of mercy from heav’n above:
Glory to God,
Glory to God,
Glory to God in the highest;
Peace on earth, goodwill to men;
Peace on earth, goodwill to men!
Lord, with the angels we too would rejoice;
Help us to sing with the heart and voice:
Glory to God,
Glory to God,
Glory to God in the highest;
Peace on earth, goodwill to men;
Peace on earth, goodwill to men!
Hasten the time when, from ev’ry clime,
Men shall unite in the strains sublime:
Glory to God,
Glory to God,
Glory to God in the highest;
Peace on earth, goodwill to men;
Peace on earth, goodwill to men!
Once in royal David’s city
Stood a lowly cattle shed,
Where a mother laid her baby
In a manger for his bed:
Mary was that mother mild,
Jesus Christ her little child.
He came down to earth from heaven,
Who is God and Lord of all,
And his shelter was a stable,
And his cradle was a stall;
With the poor, and mean, and lowly,
Lived on earth our Savior holy.
And our eyes at last shall see him,
Through his own redeeming love;
For that child so dear and gentle
Is our Lord in heav’n above,
And he leads his children on
To the place where he is gone.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
