I'm not actually feeling down and sad at the moment. But I discovered this song this year and I think it's beautiful. I can relate to the lyrics deeply and the times I have been feeling down and sad this month, I have gone and listened to this song. It's weird how comforting "sad songs" like this can be. The lyrics make you cry but it's cathartic. Reminds me of this quote I recently read from President Russell M. Nelson: "Christmas is a time for families, time of joy, a time of love and cheer. For many of us, it is also a time of tears. Tender recollections come of loved ones who were a vital part of Christmases past. The older I get, the greater are the memories of those who now live on the other side of the veil. I never apologize for those tears. A good cry at Christmastime is a sacred symbol of love." 💕

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
