MERRY CHRISTMAS 2023!!! 🎄🎅🤶🎁🍪🌟

I had such a sweet, fun, entertaining, memorable day (with the exception of snow 😫 No "white Christmas" for me this year 😔)! So grateful I got this last "somewhat normal" Christmas with my family before everything changes next year...things have been changing for a while now but still. Next year it's going to be another BIG change. And who knows how many more will occur along the way. Hopefully there will be a change for myself too. We shall see what the new year brings.

I'm feeling a little sad ending this special day. Last night was so much fun as my non-married siblings gathered together in my bedroom and talked and laughed and listened to Christmas music by the light of my Christmas tree until midnight, Christmas day! I loved it so much!! 💓 I know how special that was and that it most likely will never happen again. I enjoyed every single minute and tried to soak it all in. I've tried to do that all season long. I hate change. I hate everything about my life right now except for my family and any time I get to experience the "normalcy" of family fun and traditions. But I know it can't last and I should feel grateful for the many years worth of memories and experiences we have shared. It's time for many of us to move on. That doesn't mean we won't be together and celebrate Christmas together but I guess I have to come to terms with the fact that changes will and need to continue to be a part of life. I'll allow myself a good Christmas cry tonight as I mourn for what I'm going to lose. As I come to terms with the fact that this was the last. And try to prepare myself for the future and remind myself that there will still be so many fun times to share with my family!! That things can change and it's OK. Christmas will always be a special time.

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling.
