How does your love of God help you to love and serve other people? - By remembering this scripture: "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." (Mosiah 2:17). By remembering that Christ commands us to love and serve others, since when we do, we are really serving Him (Matthew 25:31-46). Because I want to treat people the way I would want to be treated by others. And by the way I want people to treat (and help) my family and loved ones when they are in need. Serving others brings me closer to God and my Savior, which is somewhere I want to be.


This song has been on repeat in my mind for days! I love it so much. The message is where I'm currently at. I need the constant, loving, guiding influence of my Savior and Father every second of every day. Especially now. I feel so sad and stressed out and overwhelmed on a regular, hourly basis. I'm trying to do things that will bring me closer to them and live my life in such a way that I can feel their love and influence in my life more fully. I struggle with this every day, but I do try. And I always want to try harder. This song is absolutely beautiful and inspiring and I'll be listening to it all week long. Forever a Matt Maher fan! His music and passion touches me in the depths of my soul.

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
