I learned some interesting things about Mardi Gras and "Fat Tuesday" today. I love learning about stuff like this! I wish I was better prepared and had gotten or made a King Cake for today. I saw one in a bakery last weekend. I worked today and was exhausted by the time I got home (I also wasn't aware it was Mardi Gras!) but I definitely "indulged" for "Fat Tuesday": Pizza for dinner with soda and chocolates. 😋 Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and I will be cutting out soda, juice, hot chocolate, anything that isn't water. I'm also saving treats and desserts for the weekends soooo yeah. Had to indulge a little bit tonight 😉

I chose this fun song in celebration of Mardi Gras which often take place in New Orleans, Louisiana but is also celebrated in places like Baton Rouge! When I read that, I immediately thought of this song! It's super catchy and upbeat and a ton of fun! Just like a big Mardi Gras celebration! 🎉🎭 It's also got some hints of love-at-first-sight vibes so it all fits perfectly for today!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling.
