Christmas Eve
I should save this song for tomorrow but...I already have a song picked out for then 😅 So you get this a day early. The lyrics of this song describe the way I've been feeling this entire holiday season (Thanksgiving included). I try to put on a happy, cheerful, excited demeanor. For my blog, for my family, for myself. But I don't really feel it. I feel more depressed than ever. I feel overwhelmed and lonely and just incredibly sad. I miss my dog 💔 A lot. I feel like Christmas has lost the joy and magic it once had. I try to remember the true meaning of Christmas and focus on that but...it's just hard. Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
