For the record, I am most definitely NOT a Britney Spears fan...like, at all. So, its slightly ironic that I'm sharing not one but TWO songs by her today! I saw Toxic featured on a different Halloween playlist and thought it was a clever addition (and then Circus came to mind...even though I haven't heard that song in years.) I think both songs have a "spooky" vibe going on, albeit a little on the sexy side, but nothing too graphic.

Toxic has references to poison and the devil, both strong Halloween vibes. 😈

The stage looks eerie and "Halloween-ish" with all that green lighting. Very "witchy"



This second song, Circus, makes me think of a Haunted Circus and that is super scary! 🎪 Reminds me of this terrifying, old Disney film I saw as a kid called Something Wicked this Way Comes! It was so disturbing and takes place in a creepy circus. I tried reading the book earlier this month and even that was freaking me out! Maybe next year...😨 While on the topic of circus' being terrifying and creepy, go take a listen to this haunting tune about the Big Top! I don't think I'll ever be able to go to a circus again!! 🎪🤡😖😱

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
