Thirsty & Ghost of John
Songs(s): Thirsty & Ghost of John
Artist: The Hound + The Fox
Two dramatic and spooky songs for this week leading into Halloween!!!
Thirsty is an original tune from husband and wife duo The Hound + The Fox for the elusive Count Dracula and his mortal lover. I really don't know much about the original tale of Dracula and his story/origins but this haunting, pleading song of love and lust seem fitting for what I (think) I know about the relationship between Vampires and humans...yes, my days in the Twilight fandom-past strikes again! 😳😂
Have you ever been surrounded
by water
but there's not a drop to drink?
Have you even had your heart break?
and now imagine
with a heart that doesn't beat
Are you thirsty yet?
Are you thirsty yet?
Do you thirst me yet?
Have you ever wished for morning
while you were mourning
but the night just doesn't quit?
Will you ever grant me mercy?
Will you immerse me
in the depth of your abyss
Are you thirsty yet?
Are you thirsty yet?
Do you thirst me yet?
You've got me knees weak, falling for you
Woeful how I adore you
just one taste I'll wake you from this dream
You make me thirsty
You make me thirsty
And I come alive when I'm by your side
Now that you are mine I'd lose it all for you
I'd atone your sins if you'd only let me in
Could our end begin with death anew
Have you ever been surrounded
by water
but there's not a drop to drink?
You've got me knees weak, falling for you
Woeful how I adore you
just one taste I'll wake you from this dream
You've got me hungry, craving for you
Vengeful 'til death I swore you
just one taste to give you what you need
You make me thirsty
You make me thirsty
Ghost of John is an incredibly eerie and original take on what is apparently an old American Folk song! These guys create a truly haunting and spooky arrangement that is perfectly Halloween-approved and belongs on any and every Halloween playlist! 👻

Have you seen the ghost of John?
Long white bones with the skin all gone
Oooh, Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh
Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin on, no skin on?
