And I love watching them all perform together 😍 Michael's vocals are out of this world good!! So much soul! Everything about this video is fantastic! The white suits, cute baby Randy on the gold bongos, Marlon's big happy grin 😁, Jackie's SOLO(!), the dance moves, Tito rocking the guitar, Michaels vocals, literally EVERYTHING!! I love it, I love, I love it!! 👏 This song is such a vibe and I am here 👏 for 👏 it! 👏

(That's What You Get) For Being Polite

From the bomb dot com of an album Destiny (that features such bops as Blame it on the Boogie & Shake Your Body Down to the Ground) I present my FAVORITE Jackson's song!! Totally and completely obsessed! I first fell in love with this song in August and listened to it non-stop for weeks! I was actually considering it to be my final 28 on the 28th song (but ended up going with Bless His Soul instead... another fabulous song I was totally obsessed with). I immediately related to the story of this song and also heard it as a cry from Michael to be accepted for who he was and loved. 😢 Using the name "Jack" is NOT a coincidence IMO. The entire first verse eludes to someone who is unhappy with their life and longs for friendship and love. To someone who is always giving of themselves but never receives anything in return. Similar to the theme in Bless His Soul of trying to please everyone which inevitably leaves himself empty. Such sad, profound lyrics. Michael was a masterful storyteller and you can feel the emotion in his vocals, especially during the "Jack still" portions.
