I've been feeling extra sad and down the last couple of days missing my dog and feeling the pressures of life. I listened to this song the other day and it actually made me tear up and start to cry because I immediately connected the words to my dog, wishing we could be back together. 😭 As the holidays draw closer, I miss him more and feel sadder. We have a lot of people coming for Thanksgiving and I'm going to miss having him as my companion and friend when I can sometimes feel so left out and unseen in this group. He always saw me and always wanted to be with me. He was my escape from the crowd when it got to be too much. I could take him out on a walk or we could hang out in our room. I miss being loved and needed like that. My grandma asked me the other day if I'd gotten a new dog yet. It took all my willpower not to burst into tears and even get upset and offended that she'd ask me such a question. I truly don't want another dog, at least not now. I want my dog back.

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
