In honor of celebrating WOMEN & GIRLS, I thought it would be fun to share this great song!! 

I love the message of this song and as women, this is what we need. Encouragement to just be who we are! And that's good enough! There is so much pressure put on women and girls in the world. We have to look a certain way, we can't be too fat or too skinny, we can't be too tall or too short, we can't be too loud or too quiet, we need to have careers and be "boss ladies" or we need to be mother's raising good kids, keeping the house spotless and cooking perfect meals, the list goes on! I get down on myself all of the time for feeling like I don't measure up. I hear and see my mom struggle with loving and accepting herself. I hear it from aunts, my sisters and so many other women! We are enough! We are more than our shortcomings, failures and flaws! Today we celebrate our differences and diversity! We see the beauty in ourselves & others! Let's love each other more and judge each other less! Let's lift and encourage one another to be who we are!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us. When we stop and allow ourselves to "give in" to the pain and sadness that comes with the stress of life, that's when we begin to slip and fall into a deep depression.
