Closing out the Month of Love Songs Challenge with this super sweet daddy-daughter love song 😌 If I ever get married and dance with my dad at the reception, I think I would want to do it to this song. Thinking about that moment, where my dad would hand me off to another man, has always made me really emotional. I wouldn't say I'm a "daddy's girl" in fact, my dad and I have had an interesting relationship over the years (and I wouldn't say we're necessarily in a "great place" right now). But I love my dad and he's been a wonderful father, protector and provider. He's helped and supported me a lot, despite many set backs and challenges. I know I can always count on him. I hope to improve my relationship with him. Even though it's not ideal (right now) I know we still love and care for one another and I know he's always there for me. I appreciate him more than I could ever express. I know I'm so lucky to have such a great man be my father, someone who has always been loyal, caring and loving. So, here's to the first man who loved me. I love you dad!💞
