MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!!

This has been one of my favorite songs this holiday season! I don't know why but I am in love with this version and have listened to it obsessively all month long! Today has truly been a "wonderful Christmastime" as I gathered with my {immediate} family and celebrated with good food, laughter, puzzles, singing Christmas carols, reading The Christmas Story, decorating sugar cookies, opening Christmas pajamas, and ending the night watching Christmas movies! I was able to spend a good part of my day visiting with my soon to be 92 year old grandma in her own home and it was such a blessing! She is doing so well and I'm thankful for this time to be with my family. I'm thankful for traditions. It makes me sad that things are changing and won't always be this way, but this year, I'm so thankful it was a "traditional, normal Christmas" once again!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
