Grateful For Music Challenge Day 6

Can I hitch a ride on the Peace Train please? ✋ Better yet, can my entire COUNTRY hop on!? These last few days have been suspenseful to say the least. I've been feeling anxious for days and just need this all to be OVER with already! I need things to settle down and get back to some kind of normalcy (although I don't think that's possible... I think this year is only the beginning... but that's a whole 'nother post that I'm not going to waste any time and negative energy writing about during my "Gratitude" month!).

I first heard this song back in February in the movie Remember the Titans. I was watching it for Black History Month. The song was quietly playing in the background during one scene but there was something about the melody and words that stuck out to me enough to make me look up the song! And I'm so happy that I did! I LOVE this song! It's so great and has such a wonderful (and meaningful) message! This song really brings the hippy out in me ☮🌈😊 I yearn for a world filled with love and peace. That everyone could just love one another and respect one another and be friends! Deep down, we're all the same. We're really not all that different. What we want, at the end of the day, is to love and be loved in return. Let's spread the love and blast this song all day long!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us. When we stop and allow ourselves to "give in" to the pain and sadness that comes with the stress of life, that's when we begin to slip and fall into a deep depression.
