October General Conference 2020 has been powerful and needed in my life. I felt extra emotional this time around. Maybe it's because of the current state of our country. Maybe it's because of the impending election (I'm terrified!). Maybe because of COVID and the natural disasters that keep pounding down and destroying our earth! Maybe it's because of all the stress and anxiety I've been experiencing lately (which has been a lot!). It's most likely a combination of all these things. This year has been draining and difficult for me in so many ways, since January. I am so grateful for living Prophets. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. When life gets crazy and scary, I am grateful for the gentle reminder to turn to Jesus and know that everything is going to be OK. As long as we trust Him, follow Him and keep His commandments, we have no reason to fear. 

This song made me emotional when I heard it. What everyone in the WORLD needs right now is Jesus! For real though. There is so much hate and pride and violence. It's terrifying and unsettling. I love the title of this song, for Jesus truly calls to us softly and gently. He wants us to "come unto Him" (Matt. 11:28-30). He wants to help us. But He will never force us, we must choose Christ. Every day. We need to slow down and hear Him. 

I pray for peace. I pray for unity. I pray that we might hear the voice of Jesus and love one another and make our world a better place. 🙏
