I'm thrilled to start sharing the Halloween inspired tunes that I'll be jamming to all month long! 2020 has been a crazy, difficult, emotional year! So it's time to start having some fun and celebrating!! This is probably why I have been so eagerly anticipating October! 🎃

I think this is the PERFECT song to kick-off "SpOoKy SeAsOn" with! I posted the original version last year, but this one has a little bit more of a "HaLlOwEeN" vibe to it, so you're getting it again! Which one's your favorite? Note: This song was featured in the movie Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (trailer below), a film inspired by the book of the same name (a classic elementary school book you'd check out from the library but then be too freaked out to actually read!). I watched this movie a few months ago... if you don't like over-the-top scary (like me) then you may enjoy this film. The acting is a little cheesy but the effects and "monsters" were really well done (especially "Harold!" And the "fat white lady!" It was the book come to life!). I recommend adding it to your Halloween movie list 🎃💀👻

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us. When we stop and allow ourselves to "give in" to the pain and sadness that comes with the stress of life, that's when we begin to slip and fall into a deep depression.
