I just finished reading (and watching) The Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum! It was an abridged, picture book version that I have had since I was a child (it's beautiful!). I was obsessed with The Wizard of Oz as a kid. It was my favorite movie and it still holds a special place in my heart today. I read this book as my final lead in to my official October/Halloween book selection of 2020: Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West! I'm excited to read this book! I love the musical and am looking forward to see how it compares with the book. I did hear that the book is pretty dark and has some "risque" content so we'll see if I actually make it through all the way. I also just found out that Wicked is the first book in a series of books so I hope to be able to read the others once I finish (whether it be in October or later in the future).
I decided to share this song in honor of The Wizard of Oz because it is FANTASTIC!! It's so incredibly creative, the songs fit the scenes perfectly, the costumes, set and scenery are amazing and it's just a TON of fun! My faves PTX joined youtuber Todrick Hall to give us this masterpiece clear back in the year 2013! It's timeless, just like the movie. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
