Today is my 28th birthday and I'm SO HAPPY!!! 😃 I really am. My post yesterday seems a little ridiculous now, haha. I've had such a lovely day! It's been super chill and relaxed and not much happened and that's just fine with me. As always, my family has been so wonderful and made me feel so loved!! I checked out the book Happy Birthday To You! by Dr. Seuss and read it to myself today 😁 The quote above made me smile and feel happy to be celebrating ME. Which is something I rarely feel happy to be.....me. I'm so hard and down on myself all of the time. I criticize every little thing I do, say, think, feel, etc. It's really terrible honestly. No one should do that to themselves (or anyone else for that matter). That's something I really want to work on this year: loving myself. Accepting myself. Embracing who I am, quirks, short-comings and all. Appreciating what I have to offer. Finding the good instead of the bad. I really, really want to feel and be HAPPY again. And I believe that once I can come to love and accept myself, everything else will fall into place, because I won't be so focused on what others think of me. I'll be able to open my heart and hopefully let others in.

I have been obsessed with this song since it was released a month ago. Pentatonix is my JAM! I love them so much!!! And I LOVE this song!! I feel like it's the perfect "anthem" for me this year as I begin my journey of self-love and happiness. I really love the message and lyrics. Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling.
