HANSON MONTH 2020!!!
HAPPY HANSON MONTH!!
I can't believe it's MAY!!! This year is FLYING by! Corona Virus has really put a wrench in things for me, as I'm sure it has for most people everywhere. But, I'm going to hold off from venting about my issues with COVID-19 for another time because today kicks of HANSON MONTH and it's time to get this party started!!
This is the 5th year I have been commemorating Hanson Day on my blog!! Ho-ly. Crap. I can't believe I discovered Hanson almost 7 years ago and have been an avid fan for 6. I have to be honest, as I have been looking back on my past Hanson posts, I have felt slightly embarrassed by how.....fan-girlish I have been when talking about Hanson. I started this blog when I was 23 and I sound like a 15 year old girl when it comes to talking about Hanson! 🙈 It makes me sad I feel this way.....I can remember genuinely loving this band and all of the new music I was discovering. And if I'm being honest, I haven't listened to Hanson in a long time and don't even really have a desire too.....that makes me very sad! Maybe by posting about Hanson all month long it will help me feel more motivated and remember the songs and reason why I loved them in the first place.
Song: Where's the Love
Artist: Hanson, Middle of Nowhere
Ironic title, eh? Where's my Hanson love gone!? And speaking of posting about Hanson for the past 5 years I was SHOCKED at myself when I realized I had NEVER shared this song before! It's a Hanson OG! How could I have missed it?? It's such a fun song but at the same time the lyrics and message are deep. Baby Hanson were so aware of what was going on around them and in the world. Seriously? Singing about segregation and fighting and how we need more love in the world? I am very impressed by those teens. Baby Hanson never, ever gets old to me! They were so precious!! And the music video is so 90's! 😆
Something's been going on and I don't know what it is
You don't mind the taking girl, but you don't know how to give
You drove me crazy but I don't know baby
You're thinking that it's me you're fooling
Where's the right in, all of our fighting?
Look at what you're doing
Where's the love
It's not enough
It makes the world go 'round and 'round and...
Where's the love
Give it up
It makes the world go 'round and 'round and 'round
Can you tell me what you see whenever you look around?
We're tripping all over ourselves and pulling each other down
We're separating, consciousness is fading
Are you thinking that it's me you're fooling?
Where's the right in, all of our fighting?
Look at, look at, look at what we're doing
Where's the love
It's not enough
It makes the world go 'round and 'round and...
Where's the love
Give it up
It makes the world go 'round and 'round and 'round
Dark clouds all around, lightning, rain pouring down
Waiting for the bright light to break through
Face down on the ground
Pick us up at the lost and found
We've got to change our point of view, if we want the sky blue
We're segregating, consciences are fading
You're thinking that it's me you're fooling
Where's the right in, all of our fighting
Look at what we're doing
Where's the love
It's not enough
It makes the world go 'round and 'round and...
Where's the love
Give it up
It makes the world go 'round and 'round and 'round
