SO. We are already on May day 21!!! 😱 This month has FLOWN by!! I can't believe it's almost officially summer!!! With the whole Covid lock down....my life has been.....well, honestly not a ton has changed for me....that's so embarrassing and sad to say but I have felt an overwhelming sense of all the emotions. From fear, anxiety, depression, anger, dullness, motivation, stress, I have been ALL over the place! Ugh. Thinking back on the last 3 months makes me angry and depressed more than anything!! I wish I had used my self-isolation time better! I swear I got worse! I got lazier, angrier, sadder.....but I can't dwell on that. Guess what!? I joined the "Covid-19 making sourdough club!" I'm really happy with how my bread turned out! It was fun to be back in the kitchen baking (and because of all the sourdough recipes I have waiting on Pinterest for me to try....which means I'm planning on making a lot of carb-filled baked goods during the next several weeks (which isn't good for this already-chubby-trying-to-eat-less-gluten-girl).....what I'm trying to say is....I'm sad to report that I won't be making my annual Hanson sugar cookies this year!! 😠Like, I really am trying to eat less (as I bake more....?? Yeah, this should be interesting) gluten/carbs/sugar because I really need to shed a few lbs. I've accumulated over the past few....years....so I'm just not going to be able to get to those cookies! It makes me very sad. It's been a tradition for the past 5 years!). OK. Random rant over! Back to Hanson and music!!
What I was trying to say above before I went off on a million different tangents is: because we are nearing the end of May, I might have to start including 2 (or more!) songs in each of my remaining posts just to get through the last 3 Hanson albums! I never even got to any of the songs from the 2019 EP (and I really wanted to)! I guess I could always extend Hanson month for a few weeks extra but....we'll see. So starting today, you get TWO songs in ONE!
First up is the song Running Man and I always forget how cool and fun this catchy little tune is!! Zac got quite a few solos on this record and he really came into his own with his matured and uniquely authentic vocal chops! I'm here for it!
