Is this really a "love" song you ask? Sure, why not? Here is a suuuuuuuper embarrassing and "I-don't-know-why-I-am-deciding-to-share-this" little known fact about myself but I have totally experienced the story this song tells IN REAL LIFE. Yup. I have fallen in love with someone based on looks alone. Getting a small glimpse of someone ONE TIME (or in one case, it was consistently seeing this same person a few times for a couple of weeks but still). OK, "fallen in love" is a bit on the dramatic side.....but I think you know what I mean....and I KNOW (really, really hope) that I'm not the ONLY one this has happened too! You know how it goes....you are minding your own business, doing your grocery shopping when someone kind of walks by or you have a "whoops, excuse me!" moment when you turn a corner too fast and there they are....right?

All TMI aside, I just really like this song. It's on the "overly-dramatic-hopeless-romantic" side that I always feel this time of year so....it works.

If I'm keeping 100....this version more accuratley describes me and my life....it's actually super sad! I used to listen to this song because I thought it was HILARIOUS but the more I age the more this is applying to my real life and it's ....well, it's PITIFUL! OK, I'm going to go cry and eat chocolate now 😞

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
