HAPPY 2020!!!

I can't believe we are here at the very beginning of a brand new year once more!! Wow. I started this blog clear back in 2014....and I'm still going strong!! I don't really know what my plans are for my blog in this new year.....I mean, I literally have no followers....I just do it for myself and pretend like there's anyone out there that actually cares or relates to me. But, I still love blogging! Especially about my music! So for now, I'll just keep doing what I do. I will blog about the songs that mean something to me, that speak to me and for me, my monthly challenges, etc. Here's to another great year of musical blogging!!

I'm going to be honest.....2019 was a really hard year. So was 2018. I got really depressed last night in the midst of my family's celebrating. Usually I feel so excited for the new year! I'm always so ready to start making goals and sticking to them and changing my life! But then....especially these last couple of years....nothing happens. I stay the same. I give up. I quit. So, I can't seem to get myself excited because I don't believe I'm actually going to be successful. I have failed so often in the past. I don't feel like I can change.

I hate to be a downer on a great holiday like today! Here's to 2020!! May you prove me wrong and truly be the best year yet!

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling.
