The End of a DECADE!

Tonight is the last day of the year 2019! But in even BIGGER news it's the end of a DECADE!! The 2010's are OVER! There are several reasons this is significant but for me, there is one HUGE, looming reason that makes me feel.....a whole lotta ways. I graduated high school in 2011. This year will mark my 9th year since high school. Which means next year (as in the next, next year....not the year that begins tomorrow) will be my 10 YEAR HIGH SCHOOL REUNION!!!! I don't know how that's possible. And it's not making me feel anxious because I have some big, stupid reunion party to go to (since.....I don't. I did online high school.....I know. That explains SO MUCH). It's got me feeling stressed and anxious and weird as all get out because nothing has changed. I never moved out of my parents house. I'm not married. I have no children. I don't even date. I have no college education or career of any kind. I froze. Literally FROZE. The only "big accomplishment" I achieved in these last 8 (going on 9) years post high school is that I got my driver's license.....which shouldn't even be an accomplishment post high school because I should have gotten it while in high school!!!
OK. Sorry. I didn't mean to rant. That was out of the blue and super unexpected. I was meaning to have this be a bittersweet farewell post to the past decade. But sometimes when I get going my mind wanders off and my fingers just go with it!
I know this song isn't singing about the end of a decade necessarily but it has the vibe of something coming to an end and something bigger beginning therefore you gotta live it up while you can! At least that's what I get from this song. I know a lot of people thought the world was going to end or something like that when we got to the year 2000 so it was kind of supposed to be all "We're going to die anyway, so let's do it all!" Kind of like if you knew you were going to die, you would probably do anything. OK. I'm rambling again.

I JUST THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A FUN SONG TO LISTEN TO ON THE LAST DAY OF THIS MOMENTOUS YEAR!!! TONIGHT I'M GOING TO PARTY LIKE IT'S TWO-THOUSAND-AND-NINE(teen)!!
For the record, I am NOT a Prince fan, this is literally the only Prince song I even know and that's because I've heard it on the radio for years....personally I think Prince was a Michael Jackson wannabe/copy cat but he had NOTHING on the KING.
