(Don't Fear) The Reaper

Song: (Don't Fear) The Reaper
Artist: Blue Oyster Cult

Hiiiii!!!

So, I kinda forgot to mention that I was going out of town and would be taking about a week off .... whoops! Haha. But, I'm back now! And can you believe how close we are to Halloween day!? This month has flown by!

Another song discovered on my "Halloween Party" playlist :) I like the melody of this song .... it's very 80's and I love me some good, ol', classic 80's tunes! I also think this song is basically a Halloween love song! Halloween love songs are few and far between so you gotta post 'em when you find 'em! ;)

NOTE (10/30/19): I just found out this song is pretty controversial because some people believe it was written as a pro-suicide song!! I apologize if anyone feels upset or offended by this song choice. I had no idea. BUT: that thought never crossed my mind when I first heard this song and I choose not to think about this song in that way. To me, I found it to be more romantic; a lover whispering words of comfort to their partner not to fear death, as it is inevitable, and that they will be together forever even after death).

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain... we can be like they are

Come on baby... don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand... don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly... don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

La la la la la
La la la la la

Valentine is done
Here but now they're gone
Romeo and Juliet
Are together in eternity... Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday... Like Romeo and Juliet
40,000 men and women everyday... Redefine happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday... We can be like they are

Come on baby... don't fear the reaper
Baby take my hand... don't fear the reaper
We'll be able to fly... don't fear the reaper
Baby I'm your man...

La la la la la
La la la la la

Love of two is one
Here but now they're gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn't go on
Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew and then disappeared
The curtains flew and then he appeared... saying don't be afraid

Come on baby... and she had no fear
And she ran to him... then they started to fly
They looked backward and said goodbye... she had become like they are
She had taken his hand... she had become like they are
Come on baby... don't fear the reaper

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
