Hanson Month 2019 Day 22
Today I am highlighting three songs by other artists that Hanson has collaborated with in recent years.

It's UNBELIEVABLE to me that I never posted this song!
This is such a fun song for kids who grew up in the 90's!! I love the music video and the lyrics and Hanson absolutely slayed it! They were the perfect choice to collaborate with on this song :) You rock Owl City! And hopefully it gave them some good exposure to people who still have a stereotype when it comes to Hanson or introduced them to a whole new generation of people who are yet to know of the awesomeness that is Hanson! You never know what can happen! Seeing Hanson on the television show Cupcake Wars was what did it for me :) Also, I just have to add that my "only-country-music-loving" brother-in-law LOVES this song!! ;)

Hanson totally killed it while poor Owl City (not sure what this guys real name is....) struggled. Although I like some of his songs and love him for collaborating with Hanson I have to say....it's obvious he is very auto-tuned on his albums....and not super talented IRL....sorry dude.

I remember listening to a preview of this song back in 2015 when I saw that Hanson was featured in it. I didn't care much for it back then. This year, as I have been listening to everything and anything Hanson all month long I re-visited this song and found I actually really love it! It's super catchy with interesting lyrics. Of course, I'm personally not a fan of the cuss word (I don't find it necessary at all) but, it's still a good song with a catchy beat. My favorite part is "The rent is cheaper but the climb is steeper at the top of the world." *Fun Fact: Blues Traveler actually collaborated with Hanson way back in 2000 on their This Time Around album! He plays the harmonica in If Only :)

Also, make sure to listen to the small "interview portion." The Blues Traveler dude tells a cool story about baby Hanson performing at one of his concerts and he was so impressed by them that he's remained a fan/friend throughout their career :) So sweet! I love Hanson support!

So, this song is actually a cover of a song by an old random band (Paul Revere & the Raiders) with some random dude (Bun E. Carlos former drummer of the random band Cheap Trick .... thanks Wikipedia!) .... I really don't know much about this song or these people other than the fact that Hanson was part a part of this whole, big, random collaboration! It's not complicated, if Hanson is in it, I listen. Period.

Mike Love of the legendary rock group The Beach Boys asked my boys Hanson to re-record one of his hit songs (and one of Hanson's personal favorites!). So cool! Check out this article for more details. It makes me so happy that a truly iconic and talented artist recognized, respected and appreciated Hanson and their talent and wanted to work with them! The song is fun, catchy, and perfect for the upcoming summer :) Hanson just exudes fun and joy in everything they touch!

The idea to collaborate on the above song came after Mike Love and Hanson were already working on a cover of HANSON'S song Finally, It's Christmas! Mike is a big fan of that song and Hanson themselves it seems! How cool would that be!? Someone you grew up singing and loving, is now YOUR fan? And singing YOUR song!? SO happy for Hanson!!
