 I listened to this song today and was reminded just how incredible Hanson's songwriting skills are. This EP was inspired by their trip to Africa and all of the poverty and disease that they witnessed. This song was obviously inspired by their desire to do something, anything, to help those who were suffering. Where did this start? How did it get so bad? What are we doing to make a difference and cause less suffering, even for one person? I love that you can feel their sincere compassion and desire to do good and make a change in this song. It's so powerful and inspiring. During the time this EP was released Hanson started their Take the Walk foundation which I highly recommend you go take a look at and see the amazing humanitarian efforts these guys have done and are continuing to do. Hearts of gold.

Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us.
