Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!

Today is my favorite authors birthday - Theodor Seuss Geisel!!

I have so many fond memories of reading Dr. Seuss books growing up. His books are what helped me develop my love of reading! Hop On Pop was the very first book I learned to read all by myself and I would read it over and over and to anyone who would listen! I can remember that sense of pride I had in being able to read a book all by myself :) My favorite Dr. Seuss book is Horton Hears A Who! I would check this book out from my school library every week! I have always loved How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Any and every version (the original 1966 cartoon, Jim Carrey's iconic 2000 film adaptation, and the most recent movie).

Today as I have been reading articles and learning more about the author who inspired my love of reading and helped cultivate my imagination, I am honoring him by sharing a few short songs, shows and quotes below! I also have a goal of reading every single one of his books in order (as much as possible) throughout the month and watching the accompanying movie/short show adaptations!

March is Seuss Month!
