The Hanson boys are BACK this Valentine season! And I am highlighting one of their most beautiful love songs ever that I am quite frankly SHOCKED and disappointed in myself for never sharing before! This song has a particular line in it that just really gets me every single time. I'm not sure if it's because of the meaning of the two simple words together themselves that really do it to me or Taylor's voice or a combination of the two (most likely that last one) but it is swoon worthy and gorgeous and I love it every single time: 


There's just something so wonderful and exciting as "unexpected" love and change of heart to me. Those are always my favorite plot twists and story lines in books, movies and songs. Seeing someone in a different way, once you've really gotten to know them. I can only hope that will be the case with me someday (especially since I always botch first impressions every time without fail. There will have to be something "unexpected" there with me that he doesn't see the first few times that makes him fall for me).

It's not an official Hanson post without a live Hanson performance video, now is it? I just found this on youtube from this years BTTI 2019 so I decided to give it a listen. I'm sure it's wonderful (despite Taylor's grizzled, cave man look ....) I do not own this video!! Song: Siren Call Artist: Hanson This song is off of Hanson's Fan Club EP: Loud (2016). I have been slightly obsessed with this haunting song as of late. This song is about dealing with depression ( Zac Hanson even said so ! Be forewarned, explicit language is used in this video. I'm so sorry). Once I heard Zac explain the meaning and message behind this song it made so much sense to me! I have always loved it and I've always known it had a powerful message but I could never quite figure out what it was. This song is about struggling. Being weighed-down by the burdens and challenges life brings to each and every one of us. When we stop and allow ourselves to "give in" to the pain and sadness that comes with the stress of life, that's when we begin to slip and fall into a deep depression.
