On the Tenth Day of Christmas....

Song: We Three Kings
Artist: The Hound + The Fox (feat. Tim Foust)

The Three Wise Kings brought their best and most precious gifts to honor the most precious gift. What "gifts" can I give to my Savior? And not just at Christmas, but all throughout the year. I can give him my heart. I can serve as he served. Love as he loved. Refrain from anger and judgment. Bite my tongue. Walk away. Never be ashamed of Him. Love and honor Him all of my days.

We must also accept the gift our heavenly father gave us that first Christmas night. Once we have accepted that gift of life, hope and love, can we begin to give our gifts to Him. Because we will come to know and feel of His love for us.

For what doth it profit a man if a gift is bestowed upon him, and he receive not the gift? Behold, he rejoices not in that which is given unto him, neither rejoices in him who is the giver of the gift. (D&C 88:33)

And angels did appear unto men, wise men, and did declare unto them glad tidings of great joy; thus in this year the scriptures began to be fulfilled. (Helaman 16:14)

See: Matt 2:1-12

There came wise men from the East to Jerusalem

Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him

and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him

and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts, we traverse afar
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star

Born a King on Bethlehem's plain
Gold I bring to crown Him again
King forever, ceasing never
Over us all to reign

Ohhh Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect Light

Frankincense to offer have I
Incense owns a Deity nigh
Prayer and praising, voices raising
Worshiping God on high

Myrrh is mine, it's bitter perfume
Breathes life of gathering gloom
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying
Sealed in a stone-cold tomb

Ohhh Star of wonder, star of night
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to thy perfect Light
The perfect light

Glorious now behold Him arise
King and God and Sacrifice

Halleluia halleluia! sounds through the earth and skies
Sounds through the earth and skies
