On the Eighth Day of Christmas....

Song: Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
Artist: Amy Grant

The angels remind me of the JOY of the season! That it truly is the most WONDERFUL time of the year, not because of the presents or Santa Claus, gingerbread houses, ice skating or parties, but because of the celebration of the birth of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We sing carols of praise to Him. GLORY to the NEW BORN KING!!

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them (Luke 2:9)

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. (Luke 2:10)

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11)

And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. (Luke 2:12)

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, (Luke 2:13)

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:14)

This is a song of HAPPINESSJOY and EXCITEMENT declaring tidings of GOOD WILL and PEACE unto all men! Whenever I sing Christmas hymns, like this one, I am filled with the spirit of love and peace. It is my hope to be like the angels and triumphantly declare my testimony of my Savior! To sing and speak from my heart and desire to spread the good news to all the world!

Hark! The herald angels sing
Glory to the new born King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled
Joyful all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With angelic hosts proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem
With angelic hosts proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem

Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of Earth
Born to give them second birth
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate deity
Pleased as man with men to dwell
Jesus our Immanuel
Pleased as man with men to dwell
Jesus our Immanuel

Hail the heaven born Prince of Peace
Hail the Son of righteousness
Light and life to all He brings
Risen with healing in His wings
Christ the highest heaven adore
Christ the everlasting Lord
Come desire of nations come
Fix in us Thy humble home
